Thermal Gradient is pleased to announce the achievement of unprecidented rates of PCR amplification in our proprietary devices. The "Sound Barrier" of PCR speed has indeed been broken.

Using silicon devices with no moving parts or complex in situ components such as pumps, valves, or wells, we have performed 80bp 30 cycle PCR in less than 4 1/2 minutes with the same yield as a typical thermal cycler using a 90 minute protocol.

We believe that our technology can finally unlock the barriers that can bring nucleic acid testing into the regime of low cost and high througput applications.
